How to apply for an Infantil or Primary place, explained for families who have just arrived.

The March 2026 admissions window has closed. If you arrive late or part-way through the year, ask at the school office.

The way in, in four steps

  1. Gather the papers

The application form (Annex III in March, Annex IX the rest of the year), an up-to-date collective empadronamiento certificate, copies of the legal guardians’ Spanish ID (DNI), or NIF and passport, and the family book or a Spanish birth certificate.

  2. Hand them in at the office

By appointment (951 270 732), Monday to Friday, 9:15 to 11:15. Enrolments are not handled by email.

  3. Wait for the points list

If there are more applications than places, they are ranked by points. When the window closes, the list with the points is published; check the date on the notice board and on the Secretaría Virtual.

  4. Enrol once you have a place

A copy of the health card, a medical certificate saying there is no infectious disease, one passport photo and the Infantil or Primary enrolment forms. A pupil with incomplete paperwork cannot be enrolled.

Who can apply

Families who want a place in Infantil or in Primary education.

If there are more applications than places, they are ranked by points. The scoring (the criteria and what each one adds) is set by the Junta de Andalucía.

The criteria and points are published by the Junta de Andalucía. Check them on the official admissions portal.

Part-way through the year: apply with Annex IX, at the school office.

Catchment area

These are the streets assigned to the school. Where you live can affect your score.

This school’s official area is called Benahavís_I_P_01 and covers Infantil and Primary. The two Junta PDFs list the streets with their house numbers and draw them on a map.

These are the documents the Junta published in 2025. Check with the school office that they are still current.

Documents

You hand them in at two moments: when you apply and, once you have a place, when you enrol.

When you apply

  • The application form: Annex III in March, Annex IX the rest of the year.
  • An up-to-date collective empadronamiento certificate.
  • Copies of the legal guardians’ Spanish ID (DNI), or NIF and passport.
  • The family book (pages) or a birth certificate in Spanish.

When you enrol, with a place

  • A copy of the health card.
  • A medical certificate saying there is no infectious disease (or the annex the office gives you).
  • One passport-size photo.
  • The Infantil or Primary enrolment forms.

The office does not make photocopies, so bring copies. Enrolment is not handled by email, and we cannot enrol a pupil with incomplete paperwork.

If a document is not in Spanish, ask at the school office what is needed.
